Cross Country Competes Well in First Meet

The men’s and women’s cross-country teams placed well last Friday, August 30 at the SEMO XC Invite. The men’s team scored 77 points in their 5K, landing them in third place while the women came in second with a score of 45. Grad student Hannah Eastman led the way in her Saluki debut, finishing in second with a time of 18:04.50 where she barely missed first by 14 seconds. Her effort was a part of three top 10 finishes. Uriah Guthrie had a time of 15:46.749 to earn him fourth place. The Dawgs will travel to Peoria on Friday, September 20 for the Bradley Intercollegiate.
